THE HOUSE IN THE WOODS
THE SPECTRAL CORRIDOR

'The Spectral Corridor’ is the sublime new LP from The House In The Woods, AKA Martin Jenkins / Pye Corner Audio. A doom infused set of stygian sludge drone that calls to mind the faded hinterlands of early electronic music infused with modern menace .

From the austere glacial beauty of opener ’Tone Intervals’ to the magisterial synth intonations of the multi part title track to the tenebrous organ of ‘Grounded’ or the hushed quietude of ‘Information Dust’, ’Spectral Corridor’ treads the line between occult soundtrack and zonked out space jam like a 70s Tangerine Dream loaded on Percocet scoring a Ben Wheatley movie.

Jenkins conjures crepuscular invocations from his Vermona Perfourmer synth and his dusty Burns Bison guitar, Inspired by field recordings of walks through forests wielding finger chimes, long slow tape loops, treated guitars, elegiac organ tones, free running oscillator banks and chance operations, Spectral Corridor is a further refinement and restatement of Jenkins quietly supernatural sonic vision.
